To promote the launch of Aphex Twin's Cheetah EP I was asked to design and build two websites.

Cheetah EP, plinth site

The Plinth Site

The EP was composed using an obscure and esoteric synthesiser called a Cheetah MS800. To tease the release, the synthesiser was mysteriously placed on a plinth at the “National Association of Music Merchants” show in Nashville Tennessee.

The plinth site was designed as an internet version of this manifestation.

I asked the team from Warp to send me photos of all sides of the synthesiser (which was then in New York, en route to Nashville). I then comped these into a 3D box using Three.js and placed it in a blank grey room, floating in branded space, watched over by a Richard James mask.

The Video Site

17 years after his last music video ("Windowlicker" by Chris Cunningham), 12-year-old Ryan Wyer from Country Dublin was asked by Aphex Twin to direct the video for "CIRKLON3 [Колхозная mix]." I was asked to make a website to showcase the video and the album artwork and packaging.
